Genesis

Genesis is a spectral energy distribution (SED) fitting code, particularly designed and optimised for fitting the JWST/NIRSpec spectra of intermediate- to high-redshift galaxies. Genesis is fast and highly parallelised, scalable from multithreading on personal computers to high-performance computing facilities. I’m currently finalising the UI for a public release of the code. In the meantime, do not hesitate to get in touch if you’d like to use genesis in your research.

Genesis-Metallicity

Genesis-metallicity is a publicly available code (click here) for non-parametric gas-phase metallicity and electron temperature estimation. Genesis-metallicity employs both the direct-method and strong-line metallicity estimations, depending on the available Oxygen lines. The strong-line and electron temperature estimators are calibrated on the largest ever compilation of O4363 and O7320 emitters, consisting of 1551 galaxies observed with the JWST/NIRSpec, SDSS, and other ground-based instruments. The calibration sample is also available at the code’s public repository. I’m committed to keeping the code and its calibration sample up-to-date in light of the incoming data. The method paper can be found here.
